Bapchi's Caramel Toffee Bar Brings Back Memories

For as much as we at Ma Petite Shoe love "adult" chocolate (that is, the, dark, high cacao, salty, peppery, spicy conglomerations that we so avidly tout) we also hold a soft spot in our hearts for classic bars. For most of us, sweet milk chocolate, soft nuts and toffee draw memories of retro childhood treats, and, despite our ever-expanding flavor palates, will always be a welcome, comfortable indulgence.
Vosges Haut Chocolat has captured this yearning in high quality chocolate form with Bapchi's Caramel Toffee Bar. Katrina Markoff, the woman behind the MPS-favorite Chicago chocolatier, explains that Bapchi was her grandmother, who initially taught her about chocolate. Bapchi's bar is a creamy, homey combination of sweet butter toffee, walnuts and pecans, and a deep 45% milk chocolate. The result is a super-simple, timelessly delicious dessert that is sure to please any chocolate fan. Enjoy it with a tall glass of milk, in your favorite comfy PJ's for a nostalgic night in.
